How to find us
The Albergo Milano is located in the center of the historic center of Varenna, between streets and quite some steps, for this reason it is not possible to reach us by car; to immerse yourself in the charm of the old nucleus a little effort is required and we also recommend to pack light if possible.
Arriving by car
From Milan (South)
S.S. 36 with exit Abbadia Lariano, continue on S.P.72 for about 15 Km. After Fiumelatte, before the tunnel, turn left and enter Varenna.
From Colico (North)
S.S.36 with exit Bellano-Varenna-Esino and go down towards the lake on the S.P.62 until the center of Bellano. At the stop sign take the S.P.72 in the direction of Varenna, which is reached after 5 km.
Along the Viale Polvani in Varenna you will find free parking, in front of the main gate of Villa Monastero is the entrance to the municipal parking lot.
We suggest you to park at this parking lot only 300m walking distance from us, where we offer parking places at a reduced rate at €20.00 if reserved in advance.
You can park in the street Via Venini just above the hotel, unload luggage and with a reservation of the parking space, collect the pass.

On foot
On foot from the train station:
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the station. From the station go down towards the lake until the stop sign near the “Bar Beretta” and turn left into Via Venini. Continue towards the center of Varenna for about 500 meters, until the intersection with Via XX Settembre, a small road that descends towards the historic center on the right, at the height of a yellow villa arranged in a curve. You will see a sign with indications, in which the hotel is also mentioned. Take the descent for 20 meters to house number 35, on the right we are there.
Walk from the boat dock:
Follow the footbridge that runs along the lake on the right until you reach the marina; climb the first flight of steps on the left – Contrada alla Cortesella – Less steep the following steps, proceeding towards the center. They all lead to Via XX Settembre.
